The Odium, along with other CIVIVI models like the Elementum, Brazen, Ortis, and Praxis, were designed by Ferrum Forge Knife Works, a renowned knife design company based in the USA. Elliot Williamson, the founder of Ferrum Forge, has been making knives since 2009, starting with forging leaf springs into fixed blades. In 2010, he founded Ferrum Forge and began designing folding knives, which he has continued to do with great success ever since.

Elliot and his brother Chris have learned invaluable lessons about what works and what doesn't in the world of high-end folding knives, and they bring that wealth of experience to every CIVIVI design. The result is a collection of everyday carry knives that seamlessly blend form, function, and affordability, making them a popular choice among knife enthusiasts and everyday users alike.
